The Centre for Energy™ values its partners in energy and seeks to develop long-term relationships built on a shared passion for the energy industry in Canada. We are working together to:

  • build awareness and understanding of the Canadian energy system and energy-related issues
  • encourage informed discussion about resource development, energy conservation and environmental stewardship
  • provide Canadian schools and teachers with outreach programs and energy-related, curriculum-linked educational materials for students from kindergarten to grade 12.

Association of Major Power Consumers in Ontario

The Association of Major Power Consumers in Ontario (AMPCO) is a province-wide industry organization representing major power consumers in Ontario in the forestry, chemical, mining and minerals, steel, petroleum products, cement, automotive and manufacturing industries. Our mission is to promote the competitiveness of Ontario industry by advocating for reliable supplies of electricity at affordable rates. AMPCO works to inform and engage major power consumers, stakeholders, government, regulators and agencies, about the interests of and issues facing electricity customers. We intervene to promote customer interests in regulatory proceedings and legislative processes. We develop policy and advocate on behalf of customers. We want what all customers want: reliable electricity supplies at affordable prices.
