CHA, CEA, OEB and AUC release commissioned study.
The Canadian Gas Association in conjunction with the Canadian Electricity Association, the Ontario Energy Board and the Alberta Utilities Commission have released a commissioned study called “The Industry – Regulators Dialogue on Energy Efficiency/ Demand Side Management 2006 – 2007: A summary Report” (136KB PDF). The report summarizes a series of workshops that discussed topics related to energy efficiency and demand side management.  

GLOBE Carbon Registry set to open in Summer 2008
The GLOBE Carbon Registry, set to open in Summer 2008, is looking for stakeholder input on the creation and design of the registry. The registry will serve to verify and validate carbon offsets using a custom standard, which involves assigning a unique serial number to each posted offset.  

Energy Sector Leadership Development Seminars available in May and June, 2008
The Alberta School of Business (120KB PDF) is offering a series of leadership development courses specializing in the energy sector. Individual’s who have been identified as potential leaders in their organization will learn how to excel as a leader while handling both strategic and operational issues.

Backgrounder
The Ontario Energy Board is the regulator of Ontario's natural gas and electricity industries. The Board reports to the Ontario legislature through the Minister of Energy, but carries out its functions and responsibilities independently.
