CAPP releases 2007 Stewardship Report
The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers has released its 2007 Stewardship Report. The annual report documents the industry’s mandate to achieve measurable improvement in the areas of environmental, safety and social performance. The report includes several industry success stories. It also includes areas where industry acknowledges the need to improve its performance.  

CGA releases ROE report and recommendations
The Canadian Gas Association released a report entitled The Fair Return Standard for Return on Investment by Canadian Gas utilities: Meaning, Application, Results, Implications (180KB PDF). Authored by John C. Major, Former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada and Roland Priddle, former Chair of the National Energy Board, the report discusses some implications of the now-universal ROE (rate of return on equity) approach and makes recommendations to Canadian energy policy makers and regulators.  

PIHRC launches new website
The Newfoundland and Labrador Petroleum Industry Human Resources Committee (PIHRC) has launched a new website to provide career information about the province’s petroleum industry to students, teachers and the general public.

The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) is the voice of the upstream oil and natural gas industry in Canada. CAPP represents 140 member companies who explore for, develop and produce more than 95 per cent of Canada's natural gas, crude oil, oil sands and elemental sulphur.
